Let’s be honest: for far too long, "nude" meant beige. And for Black women, that version of nude has always missed the mark. Nude Sole was born out of this gap—a brand created by women of color, for women of color, offering a refined spectrum of nude tones that actually reflect the richness of our skin.
Back in 2020, the conversation around inclusive nude shoes gained traction. But while blogs talked about diversity, few brands delivered lasting solutions. We did.
The Nude Sole Movement
When Nude Sole launched, there were a few other Black women-founded brands pushing for change in the industry. We were proud to be part of that movement. But over time, many of those brands disappeared. Meanwhile, major labels watched, learned, and then replicated the idea—offering "diverse" options without crediting the Black women who started it all.
We’re still here. Still Black-owned. Still committed to crafting the perfect nude heels for melanated queens everywhere.
